Among many stunning Islands in the Pacific Ocean, Dravuni has a charm of its own. With 150 inhabitants, Dravuni is not a deserted island. Naturally, considering that Dravuni is a small island, you may think that it gets 'crowded when ships anchor nearby and it becomes flooded by cruise travelers. But, because there are a few different areas to explore, the cruise traveler will be surprised to find that fellow cruisers will, in reality, be scattered all over the island.
As expected in such a small and off the beaten track island, Dravuni does not have a pier where cruise ships can dock. This is good news for those that do not wish to see Dravuni become a tourist magnet overcrowding such a wonderful setting. Cruise Ships anchor very close by and passengers are tendered to the island.

Looking to the left side of the pier, it is a section of the beach where you will see small, motorized boats used by locals for fishing. This section of the beach is next to the village where most of the residents have their homes - hence, the fishing boats close by. Although you may not see many people on this side of the beach, it is a great spot to enjoy the crystal clear waters, sunbathing or relaxing under the shade of coconut trees.

The one thing that cruise travelers should be aware when calling at Dravuni is that (as mentioned before) you will not find the typical services found in most 'touristic' beaches. Dravuni's enticing charm doesn't include beach chairs or umbrellas. This said, on the right side of the beach you may find a few services and amenities.
Do not expect to find restaurants, grills or beach bars but there are a couple of places where soft drinks and coffee are served. Kayaking, Hammocks, Massages, and Souvenirs are pretty much all the services available in the entire island. As much as snorkeling in Dravuni is a delight make sure you bring your own gear.

Right in front of the pier, you will see an opening between the trees with some thatched roofs in the foreground. Most probably, you may have already got some basic info about Dravuni onboard your cruise ship but, as you walk inland, don't miss a large map of the Island. It shows all the attractions and paths to explore the island on foot.
