Nassau is a well-known shopping paradise for cruise passengers looking for bargains and duty-free goods like jewelry, watches, and accessories, but also spirits and perfumes. Atlantis has quite a few high-end shops, but the best stores in Nassau are on Bay Street.

On the main street of Nassau you will find boutiques like Breitling, Cartier, David Yurman, Fendi, TAG Heuer or Rolex; and the top brands and labels in stores such as Colombian Emeralds, Diamonds International, Effy Jewelry, Sophia Fiori, John Bull, Little Switzerland, Quantum or Bacardi.

Good to Know

VAT - Since January 2015, 7.5% VAT (Value Added Tax) has been mandatory but cruise ship passengers like any other visitor, enjoy a Zero-Rated VAT on purchases above $25.00 - clothes are VAT-free on purchases above $100.00. Most shops display signs stating "Authorized Tax and Duty-Free Goods". Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday - between 9 AM and 5 PM - and on Sundays when and if cruise ships are in port.

1. Bacardi

Besides all variations of the Bacardi Rum label, the cruise passengers will find in this brand store labels and spirits like Grey Goose Vodka, Bombay Sapphire Gin, Scotch Whisky, Cazadores, and Patron Tequilas, and Leblon Cachaça. French Luxury

Cartier is a French luxury jeweler and watches manufacturer with two locations in Nassau - one downtown on Bay Street and another in the Crystal Court of the Atlantis Resort. The largest duty-free jeweler in the Caribbean, Diamonds International has two shops in Nassau. One at the east end of Bay Street and another at the west end of this street. Both shops have an extensive selection of diamonds, offering the possibility of upgrades. And also many other gemstones. The cruise passenger can select a stone, choose a mounting and pick it up before sailing. Crown of Light, Hearts On Fire, and Forevermark are three of the many collections on offer.

15. Marina Village

Cruise passengers will find at the Marina Village of Atlantis some shops, which have their main store on Bay Street. Names like Colombian Emeralds International, John Bull, Park Lane Jewelers, Milano, Diamond Center, Pirana Joe, and Tortuga Rum Cakes. But some stores are only found at the Marina Village. Such as Calypso Carousel, Dooney & Bourke, The Plait Lady, or the Doongalik Art Gallery.
