Cinque Terra

Cinque Terra is the lesser explored destination by cruise travelers calling at the port of Livorno. In fact, only a few cruise ships offer excursions to Cinque Terra.

The laid-back charm of this string of villages in the Ligurian coast is easy to enjoy on your own traveling by train from Livorno. Famous for its dramatic scenery, Cinque Terre is a national park and territory protected by UNESCO, where you will have the opportunity to travel through lovely seaside villages.

Dotted by cliffs that rise from the sea with stunning beauty, this area of the Italy’s Ligurian coast can be explored on shore excursions offered by cruise lines, online services, or local guides but also on your own by train from Livorno. Taking under one hour to get there.

The nicest way to explore Cinque Terre is on a boat tour along the coast to admire the dramatic cliffs, picturesque coves, small villages with multicolored houses and rugged seascapes. Naturally, you must also stop at striking villages like Riomaggiore, Monterosso or Vernazza.
